Rule 9
Arrangements for the sale and distribution of firewood

(1) The Government of Nepal, taking into consideration the interests of the general public, may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette for the sale and distribution of Wamojim wood and firewood, and establish a district forest produce supply committee with the following chairman and members in the district specified in the notice -
(a) District Forest Officer – Chairman (b) Assistant Chief District Officer – Member
(c) Controller of Funds and Accounts – Member
(d) One member of the committee appointed by the district development committee - member (e) Two persons nominated by the Ministry from among social workers and distinguished persons - members
(f) Assistant Forest Officer – Member Secretary
(1a) The term of office of the member nominated in accordance with clause (e) of sub-rule (1) shall be for two years. (2) In the districts where the committee is formed as per sub-rule (1), the committee shall obtain a license from the authorized officer in accordance with rule 8 for the purpose of the sale and distribution of firewood for the following purposes. will do –
(a) For housework of rural people, amended by First Amendment. Addition by First Amendment .
(b) For low-cost development works carried out through public participation,
(c) for disaster relief and agricultural implements.
(3) In addition to the things mentioned in this regulation, the committee formed according to sub-rule (1) shall comply with the instructions given by the Government of Nepal from time to time.
(4) In the districts where a committee has been formed as per sub-rule (1), the authorized officer in charge of the specified quantity for sale and distribution according to the action plan may provide wood firewood to such committee for sale and distribution in lump sum or in lots and lots and the wood firewood committee so available shall use the firewood committee as per rule 8. After taking the license, you will have to cut, cut and transport at your own expense.
(5) In the case of districts where wood firewood is not available according to the action plan, the government of Nepal can make arrangements for sale and distribution by providing wood firewood from other districts where wood firewood is available.
(6) For the purposes of sub-rule (2), wood sold and distributed for use for other purposes and districtCannot be carried outside.
(7) If the timber that has been sold and distributed by the authorized officer is not picked up on time or the wood that is left over after the sale is distributed, the authorized officer may sell and distribute the firewood using the prevailing market price without reducing it to the price specified in schedule-2.
(8) Sale and distribution of wood firewood quantity and procedure shall be as prescribed by the work plan. However, in case the work plan is not ready, it shall be as determined and prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
(9) The authorized officer shall take the price as per Schedule-2 while selling and distributing firewood. However, when authorized officials provide firewood to the District Forest Produce Supply Committee, this rule shall not be deemed to be a hindrance to providing firewood only after the committee sells and distributes the firewood.
